Are We There Yet?
The amazing growth in the sale and use of decorative glass over the past three years led me to wonder where the market is in terms of its maturity. Given all the new technologies and rapid growth, I don’t think we are quite there yet. There’s lots of business to be had in many different places throughout the United States.
To check out my theory, I looked not only at what types of decorative category glass was being made, but where. The results tell an interesting story of manufacturers being concentrated in a number of areas throughout the country:

It’s actually a bit less concentrated than it seems above, but not much. To see an expanded list of fabricators and locations look below (and if you notice any decorative fabricator that you think belongs here but is not, please let me know):

On the lighter side:
Finally, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter, a belated Happy Passover and a Happy Spring. I thought I would share this picture of the breakfast my sister made for her family yesterday … Spring is definitely in the air.

Have a good week,
Deb
Great blog Deb. Interesting and informative. And by the way, were the bunny pancakes as tasty as they were cute??? Lyle
I don’t know as I did not get to taste them. Pat said they were. She has always hoped to open a bakery called “Patticakes” one day. Patti … cakes.
Great article Debra. Good information and nice graph of where these fabricators are. I loved the Easter bunny picture too. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Mark. I appreciate it. I always find it interesting to see things in graph format.
