Robotics are in and finding enough workers is out; accelerated depreciation of up to 100 percent of cost is in and recession is out. All these factors combined to make the GlassBuild America (GBA) show, held in Las Vegas September 12-14, 2018, the best and business-busiest show in a decade. From Stalking to Smiling: Just Another Day at GBA

Well the show in Vegas is in the history books now and will fade into memory in direct proportion to how large Atlanta ’17 looms in the distance. Friday is always the lightest day at the show and this year proved no exception, but that gave me some time to reflect on the trends I saw as news. The amazing growth in the sale and use of decorative glass over the past three years led me to wonder where the market is in terms of its maturity. Given all the new technologies and rapid growth, I don’t think we are quite there yet. There’s lots of business to be had in many different places throughout the United States.
