Holly Biller

This is a bittersweet blog for me to write. If you see the lady in this photo or get a chance to send her a note, please do, as she will be leaving KMR at the end of this year.

Our beloved Holly Biller told me three years ago that she wanted to retire from the glass industry at the end of 2024, at the end of  her 30th year in it. She began her career with us in high school, and we have worked side-by-side ever since (with some time off for college). I could not be prouder of the astute professional she is and has become. I often thank God for the wonderful person she is as well. If you’ve worked with Holly in any capacity you know that to work with her is to love her. Though I’d like to say I taught her everything she knows, that would not be true. Holly has talents and a way with people that few have. There’s a touch of magic in her personality. She is also perpetually cheerful. I have learned from her as well. There is no way to thank her enough for all her efforts.

I spent the first year in 2021 trying to get her to change her mind, but she is ready for some new challenges, a saner lifestyle with less professional travel and more time with her terrific husband and two amazing sons. She will surely pick some wonderful things to do in other fields in her second act.

Though we are sad she is leaving, we’ve had three years to plan for her departure, which is exactly what we have done. I’ll be back next week for some personnel announcements. In the meantime, Holly is with us in the office until December 23 and in our hearts forever.
